 Our October Farm Field Trip!

Kindergartners had a great trip to Green Mountain Orchards on October 18th. They enjoyed picking apples, taking a hayride thru the orchard, watching the process of making cider, and then making cider themselves on the old fashioned press. They had a delicious snack of cider donuts and fresh cider, followed by a picnic lunch!  The trip reinforced classroom concepts including the life cycle of an apple tree, the parts of an apple, and taste tests of apples.  The teachers highly recommend Green Mountain Orchard for other teachers working on similar classroom concepts.  The farmers do a great job of explaining the working of the orchard to the children. Thank you Green Mountain Orchard!
