So what is Jr Iron Chef VT exactly?

Jr Iron Chef VT, hosted by the Burlington School Food Project and VT FEED, is a statewide competition that gives students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience preparing and cooking nutritious, farm-fresh foods. We highlight local agriculture and encourage students to make healthy eating choices and understand more about nutrition, farm-fresh foods, the culinary arts and school food systems.

In addition to being an exciting and educational cooking competition, Jr. Iron Chef VT is a fundraiser for statewide Farm to School programs.  All proceeds directly support Farm to School programs hosted by Vermont FEED, a collaboration of Food Works at Two Rivers Center, Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont (NOFA-VT) and Shelburne Farms, and the Burlington School Food Project.
